Efraín Foglia is designer of digital interactions, researcher and lecturer.

:: PhD in Fine Arts from the Universitat de Barcelona :: Specialisation in NewMedia Art at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar :: BA in Graphic Design at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico City. In 2013 he started his postdoctoral research at the UNESP São Paolo Brasil.

:: Member of, the world’s largest self-constructed telecommunications network :: He is promoter of Open Networks in Spain, Mexico, Brazil and United Kingdom, where he designs, in partnership with CreativeCoop, a telematic network aimed at the social improvement of the Welsh population of Merthyr Tydfil Valley.

In 2011 he founded the Mobilitylab platform aimed at the design of physical and digital interactions :: His work as a designer has been recognised in the US, Mexico and Spain :: His designs are part of the International Archive Design of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico City). His artistic work has been exhibited in different cultural and artistic spaces in Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Germany.

:: He is member of the research group BRAC (Barcelona, Research, Art & Creation), Universitat de Barcelona and the GIIP (Grupo de Investigación en Convergencia entre Arte, Ciencia y Tecnología, Research group in the convergence between art, science and technology) UNESP, Universidad Estadual Paulista de São Paolo.

:: He is lecturer of Experimental and Interactive Design at the School of Fine Arts of the Universitat de Barcelona. He is lecturer in the Digital Communication Department at the Universitat de Vic, responsible for the modules of Digital Art and the workshops of Infographics and Design

:: He has lectured at the at the MediaLab II at the Istituto Europeo Di Design Barcelona and has provided consultancy to the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya :: He has also given lectures, seminars and workshops in Art and Design at the Universitat de Barcelona, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, UNESP São Paolo, Unicamp Campinas Brasil, and NHTVE Breda (Holland).

:: Has lived and worked in Barcelona since 2003.
